The design does look like it's from one of those 'this is what the PS4 will look like in 2010' videos you'd see on YouTube in 2008 next to the Xbox 720 and Nintendo WiiDS. Should've also given the controller 4 analogue sticks to really sell it.
There are still platform exclusive podcasts, like on Spotify, but they don't seem too prevalent. Podcasters seem to make most of their dough either through advertising sections, or having supporter exclusive feeds.
Just had the following email from GOG about account migration for CD Projekt Red games, not quite sure what to make of it. Don't CDPR own GOG? Why do they need to be separated? What does this mean for the long term future of the services?...
The email I read was talking about cross progression and stuff, which goes outside of GOG. It probably makes more sense for a PS5 or Xbox player to create a CDP account than a GOG account in that context, although it's all still technically the same account anyway.
GOG and CDPR have always been different branches anyway. This just looks to be making the separation that's always existed a bit clearer.

Perfection is the enemy of good, I guess. The point is that you can federate, even though most will not know or care. mastodon.social could lock itself down for new users harder, but that would most likely just stop people from signing up to Mastodon at all.
UPDATE: Despite saying they were using SteamOS on the homepage, they've since clarified that it's actually "an optimized version based on HoloISO". HoloISO seems to be a community compiled version of SteamOS. It's very similar but it's not officially SteamOS....
I run a dual boot on my Deck and have managed to make the experience alright. There are some good debloating scripts online. It's nice to have access to GP games.
I always assumed it was the rise of consoles that was to blame, as CRPGs are a bit more cumbersome to control on those platforms. BG3 proved it's possible, but it's certainly not the platform it was built to be played on.
I use Linux, Windows, MacOS; I'm everywhere. I've had Aegis as a backup of my tokens in case bullshit like this happened, but it's still an amazingly stupid idea.
Lol a lot of the games I've played this year have been classed as 'bland' so I'm not sure what that says about my tastes. TotK was my GOTY but I put a lot of time into Starfield, Hogwarts, and FFXVI and enjoyed all of them. I've played a chunk of BG3 but haven't been able to get into it as much. Think the battles go on too long for my liking.
