At least a couple years ago the burger king on the ring road around bluewater had a self serve machine. could be gone now though

i think it's more about informing the public information is being kept from them.

Him asking this caused me to seek out the article.

Letbys conviction never really sat right with me with the information present in the british media. less so now i have read it

edit: having read some of the discussion around this on reddit i have moved back from the "maybe she didn't do it" to "she probably did" but even still it's all very circumstantial

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy OP ,

laws can, and sometime should, be changed

200kg of steaming manure would be pretty sweet if you had a vegetable garden

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy ,

you gotta rot it down a bit anyway. stick it in the corner of the garden and leave it until the following year.

Otherwise you'll get weeds all up in your veggies

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy ,

Yeah but then that would be human manure which is a little (although not much) more dangerous to use on stuff you're going to eat

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy ,

couple years ago i bought a couple bedside lights and some crystal glasses from a charity shop on my lunch break.

i spent the rest of the day at my desk using them...

felt fancy

I donate monthly to The Good Law Project

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy ,

You can "think" what you like. international law disagrees with you

What're some of the dumbest things you've done to yourself in Linux?

I'm working on a some materials for a class wherein I'll be teaching some young, wide-eyed Windows nerds about Linux and we're including a section we're calling "foot guns". Basically it's ways you might shoot yourself in the foot while meddling with your newfound Linux powers....

dir="$(something that ultimately resolved to "")"

rm -r $dir/*

on a company server

I also once completely destroyed the data in a db that wasn't backed up for that same company while trying to restore from a dump (which was deleted as part of the script i was running).

Luckily both of these mistakes happened on staging servers so no one really cared. (prod is backed up though so if i did it there, not that i have access to prod, it also wouldn't be catastrophic)

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy OP ,

looks similar, i might be able to adapt something from this, thanks

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy OP ,

I tend to ignore the KDE notifications. i want something that will be on screen until i take certain mitigating actions

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy OP ,

not sure where it is tbh

why wouldn't you just convert inline?
(Number(input_val) === 2)

Converting would mean you could use a switch statement with your example rather than an if else ladder

switch(Number(input_val)) {
  case 1:
  case 2:
  case 3:

TS if i have to work with other people

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy ,

what about the guy you need to maintain your test scripts.

the average developers doesn't have enough of a test head to do a full end to end test suite

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy ,

i've seen a few videos of ukranians using decks to control drones. maybe he thinks there will be military applications on the russian side too

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy ,

There's already one. it's called the linux community

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy ,

sounds like a great opportunity to abandon windows entirely

PrettyFlyForAFatGuy ,

You get beaten up on a bus for "speaking foreign" in the UK
